Very limited. The parking here is road side on either side of the very steep valley that leads down to the main beach. In the summer it can be difficult to find a space but there is one disabled space available at the bottom.

Not only is there somewhere to eat right before the beach ( OLota), Benagil also has several restaurants that line the road up and down the valley so you can either enjoy a quick snack by the beach or a full meal in one of the restaurants.

A real working beach with fishing boats, nets and baskets all greeting you as you head down to the sand.
Watch the fishermen at work here as they pop in and out of their huts or arrange to take a boat trip from here to see the amazing caves along the coast and the secluded boat access only beaches. Again, the cliffs are dangerous here and you should not sunbathe under the cliffs but the beach itself is a good size extending around to the left with beautiful white sands and lovely views.
Parking is a problem here so many people never stop making this often a quieter beach to visit in the high season (although all beaches are busy in August!).
With the easy access onto the beach this one is ideal for those with limited mobility or with small children as it is only a short walk from the fishing boats to the sand.
If you don't want to get sand between your toes (and everywhere else for that mater) then you can sit in the café just set back from the beach and enjoy the views. Warm in winter

At only a few minutes driving there are beautiful beaches to find.
1. Praia Albandeiras
an excellent enclosed beach with a lovely small pizzeria.
2. Praia Carvoeiro
is a beach in the centre of an old touristic fishing village with nice, small restaurants, souvenirshops and many more.
3. Praia Caneiros
is a pleasant beach with a First class restaurant in the higher price class.
4. Praia Grande in Ferragudo
is a bigger beach with very relaxed beachclubs, such as club Nau (also with live Music) and Kalu, a wonderful relaxed club, runned by Dutch where you can stille at Dutch snack and other delicious lunch dishes. You can also book here your surfing lessons and rent a canoe.
A spectacular rock formation only 3.1 kms from Benagil and 750 meters from the main square in Carvoeiro (Going east by the coast way).
In Bensafrim, a small village 6 kilometres before Lagos you'll find two maneges which offers offside rides.

Within five minutes driving you'll find an ALDI and an INTERMACHE and the Portuguese supermarket PINGODOCE in Lagoa.
There are two of them in close vicinity. A shopping mall in Guia by Albufeira and the shopping mall Jumbo in Portimao with a lot of chains such as H&M, Zara, Primark, Pull and Bear, but there are also many Portuguese shops. At the height of the season the shopping malls are open till midnight and in the lower season till eleven in the evening.
There are also a lot of shops along the main road (N125) such as Pottery shops. Nearby is Pottery shop in Porches with a lovely lunchroom.
O Algar is a family run restaurant where every meal is a delight. Superb service!
- Nearby is O Pescador by the beach of Benagil ( Praia Benagil) with lovely food, nice furniture and decoration and a great terrace outside with sea view. Make a reservation.
- On the beach is casa Lamy where you can lunch and dine cheap but ok.
- Bistro Marina is also very close. Nice atmosphere.
- In Carvoeiro are many good restaurants. In different kind of prices. Very good is for example Villa Medici on the First main road to Carvoeiro on the left side. Nearby is Primavera also Italian food and good. On the opposite are also good restaurants with lower prices.
Near the beach of Carvoeiro is restaurant Onze with good service and lovely food. When you look to the beach it is on the left side. Make a reservation.
In Ferragudo is a very good restaurant with also good prices and it is called O Angulo. Its on the end of a side street from the square. Please make a reservation. On the square is more special restaurants like a pizzeria and there are many people and its very cosy.
At Praia Grande is club Nau where you can eat for example tapas and other good food in a relaxed atmosphere. There is very often live Music.
